Selim Hill
Kurseong a part of Darjeeling Hills and a quaint and misty town is home for this 150-year-old Tea Garden, Selim Hill, created by the British planter Henry.
The garden and bungalow is located inside a thick wooded area in the Himalayan foothills away from the hustle and bustle of urbanism.
From the room you can view the majestic Himalayan range with the deep undulating gorges, and the northern Bengal plains in the far horizon.

Silver tips are delicate and immature buds plucked during the first flush that result in the fine bouquet of orthodox liquor of tea. Silver Tips,
formerly the Doctor Sahib’s Bungalow, just like the tea it is named after creates a unique quirky magic all of its own.

The Windermere Estate - Plantation & Retreat

The Windermere estate includes 55 acres of undulating rises and dips covered with cardamom & coffee, located on the slopes of the Western Ghats.
At an elevation of +1600 msl with ever green forest, an annual rainfall of more than 200 cms make it conducive to extensive types of cultivation.

There is no mention of Munnar, without reference to Tea plantation, which covers over 30,000hectares and is mostly held by few companies
and the prominent names among them are Kanan Devan Hills Plantation Limited, Harrisons Malayalam, Talayar and Kolugumalai Plantations.
Most types of tea available in the market green, black and the exotic type like the white tea are all made from the same plant, although selectively
picked and processed. All of this is processed at Munnar as well.
